Artist's Comments

Mmmmm, sketching in red pencil. Why, you may ask? Wait a while, and I'll show you.

I like the anachronistic costume elements, me, but I don't know if it's a bit too eccentric for fantasy fans. Whaddya think?

Although nature commences with reason and ends in experience it is necessary for us to do the opposite, that is to commence with experience and from this to proceed to investigate the reason.

Taking into consideration this is only a sketch right now. The only thing i can really comment on is balance and flow of the picture. I love the placement of the female, and the sword pushing out into the foreground, there's a great sense of depth there without pushing it too far. The perspective looks great as well, the arched doorway in the background looks great. Also the placement of the characters perspectively makes sense. Awesome sketch so far, I'm really interested where you take this one.

Dude, your stuff is eerily good. :)
Can't wait to see an inked version (or cleaner pencils at least)

Beautiful sketch so far. Really looking forward to seeing an inked version (if you're doing one). The only thing I can think of that looks slightly odd to me it how long the handle of the sword is in comparison to her hand. Otherwise it looks like a really neat composition.
