I've actually quit smoking for the most part... I went from a pack a week to... I think two cigarettes in the past three months. Of course, quitting is easy... I done it a thousand times.

It was the aftertaste that finally did it lately, and the fact that my hands and shirt always stank of ashtray. Plus... it really will kill you, eventually. It's like playing Russian Roulette. It also helped that I went from buying cigarettes to rolling my own, on the advice of another friend who was "cutting back". The reason being, you're less likely to smoke a cigarette if you have to go through the whole ritual of rolling one. Besides, less additives and shit in the pouch tobacco.

It worked, too... I didn't want to smoke anyway, and when the urge struck me I could usually stave it off with a combination of the knowledge that rolling one is a pain, it looks like a joint (which makes people stare, and you can't smoke in the car for fear of being stopped by the cops), and you end up stinky at the end. So now the small amount of tobacco I have left is slowly getting stale.

Just the same, somewhere in me is still the smoker. Probably in my lungs.

I thought it might make a fun avatar, but it doesn't really read so well at 50x50. And you can see I didn't exactly throw down with this the way I do in other sequences... it really is just a sketch, so to speak.
