Artist's Comments
The designs I've been showing that are fantasy-related are usually part of this ongoing unnamed fantasy project that's been simmering slowly in mental gumbo for years now... I keep coming up with a lot of elements I want to write about, but the actual STORY is still coming to me. I have a lot of fun just designing anyhow, and thinking of reasons to wedge this idea or that idea into some sort of coherent universe.
This girl appears again and again, but I'm still not sure who she is... it still needs time to cook. Like the coat? The straps on the arms actually serve a purpose by allowing you to open the sleeves up and free the arms from the heavy fabric. I think it looks pretty cool, but the buckles need to be replaced with snaps for a more practical, believeable design. Comments

 id wear it; only problem i had with it was that it was a little too similar to vash the stampede, but then you said it was a girl.. and it had yet to be colored, so maybe when its done it wont have very much in common with vash.

the belts just make it look so much more real, the complexness i guess. ahhg, and the gun! it just looks so nice.... -- thanks everyone for the DD! [link] Well, no holding breath for colours on this right now... it's what you might call "mighty loowwww" on the list of things to do. If it WAS coloured, the jacket should be a deep, almost rust-red, her hair should be almost platinum, and I generally perfer my characters to dress in earth tones, believable colors for the clothing they wear. Browns, tans, off-whites and khaki tones are some of my favorites...
But rather than colour this, I's almost rather create a new drawing that sits at a better angle and shows off the whole character. I'm not a big one for revisiting old works, when there's always a new one to create that's often even better...  Awesome sketch, I love it. It really seems like you had fun doing it. I'm also loving your line, it's so dynamic.
