Artist's Comments

Doing a few western illustrations this evening. I know this is indirectly inspired by a Frazetta pen sketch I've seen, but I can't for the life of me find it in my books. At any rate, I'm sure Frazetta did it far better than I could have. :D

I actually drew these elements separately and composed them in PS (I was working on small Bristol). What do you think of the shading? I've been thinking of doing more work like this... I'm also thinking it might look good if I run it through Painter.

Nice perspective looking up. That's one scary indian dude. I like how youve defined the form using shadows. Speacially on that rock, and some cloth folds.

Nice..... though I keep thinking that the Indian guy is gonna land on this stomache when he stabs the guy. It could be just me or something.

It's great, everything u done lately is cool. I love the cheroot falling out! I think the revolver might have a bit too raked a handle, more like an old flintlock than a typical six-gun, but I could be fooled by the foreshortening, maybe...
