Armor designs for Reality Blurs "Iron Dynasty" RPG setting.
Unlike the weapons, I was allowed a lot more freedom to make up these armor designs, though I still needed to base them on historical precedents whenever possible. Each design is wrapped around an invisible figure in order to maintain a focus on the armor rather than the character wearing it. There's a lot of details in there, you'll want to check out the full-size Download version to see them all.
Each armor follows a theme in its construction and appearance. Some of them are more fantastic than others, but in all cases I tried to keep it grounded in some sense of realism.
A) Stone armor. Based on real historical examples of carven stone plates over heavy cloth, probably leather B) Seafaring armor, piratical in theme. I like the patterns and the hat quite a lot C) Pretty much straightforward historical samurai armor, right down to the moustache
You might note that some of the designs carry weapons. I based the proportions of those weapons on those on the Weapons sheet, but I never repeated the details. It's too much fun to make up new ones.
Beautiful hatching on the middle armor's daishō shadow. I hope you don't mind if I reference this for a Pathfinder character I'm eventually going to build.
