Rough Moves 003 - Overviolent

Side project I've been doodling when the muse strikes me over the past few months. It's hard to say how long it actually took to draw... I worked on it in small bursts, and it began as just a simple loop that grew in to a whole... "thing". I'll probably use the "Rough Moves" title for more animation play in the future.

The characters here are something I'm calling "Blanks" for now (I almost called this "Shooting Blanks", but that doesn't really account for the cutting... and beating.. and exploding...), just because they largely exist for me to abuse. They have no personality aside from what may be imparted in the movements. Feel free to use 'em for your own animation, since it's hard for me to lay claim to a mannequin. They're easy to draw, and useful for testng actions and sequence ideas, but it's not a good idea to get attached to 'em... and really, they're all exactly the same anyhow.

Easytoon drawn, 365 drawings, no layers, 25fps. ©2006 Ben McSweeney. Easytoon is freeware (Google it), runs on Windows, and is pretty easy to learn, but easier to work with if you have a tablet (it's hard to do any digital illustration without one). Totally drawn in-system, but it's Traditional Animation (and a Pencil Test because it's just a rough project). No plans to take this further... it's just an expiriment in action. I think I may be getting up there in GIF limitations... let me know if this is running choppy on your system.
