Skullkickers 12 - "The Beholder" pg 02by *Inkthinker

Skullkickers #12 is out now! "Four More Tavern Tales" collects four short stories by different artists and writers, and in this volume I was privileged to illustrate a six-pager entitled "The Beholder", written by Zach Weiner of SMBC and colored by Espen Grundetjern.

This is just a short tease of the linework. Though this was probably my favorite page out of the six, it blends the trademark Skullkickers humor and violence and was a lot of fun to draw (second favorite is probably three pages later, when Dwarf sings a song and a courtier throws up in a hat).

The script called for Baldy to "dispatch a large ungulate with his pistol". To this day I'm not quite sure exactly what Zach wanted (I had to look up "ungulate"). To read the full tale you'll have to check out the issue itself, available at your finest Local Comic Shops.
