All this week over at Skullkickers.com Jim Zub is serializing the six-page story I drew for his "Tavern Tales" anthology back in 2011! Written by Zach Weiner of SMBC, I had a great time drawing this story. I wish I could do work like this all day. Hit the Download to check it out at full 16x12.

Just to mix it up and save me a bit of work, I'll post the line-art in pairs. Check out the pages on the webcomic to read the script and see it in full, glorious color by Espen Grundetjern. This is the page orientation they shared originally when in print, Zach's script employs the classically clever move of making each right-hand page "ask a question" so that you're encouraged to turn to the next. I'll post the next pair on Wednesday, to coincide with page 3. Technically I've posted these separately a year or so ago, but this is the first time they're posted without text, and to coincide with their new publishing online.

Drawn in Manga Studio EX v.3 on the Cintiq. Check out Skullkickers online, Jim's publishing the entire back catalog, so it's easy to catch up, and when you find out that you love it you can jump ahead of the webcomic by moving on to the print! It's awesome!

Aaah, I thought this looked familiar. I don't think your style and expressiveness will ever get old. :XD:

Yeah, I feel a bit the heel technically reposting these (look, you can see behind the word bubbles now!) but it wouldn't have made as much sense if I'd started with page 03, plus it'd get too far ahead.

I promise, Wednesday is new pages. :D
