Here's my love letter to Stan Sakai and his famous bodyguard ronin. I'm proud to say I own every single issue of the comic, all the way from the Fantagraphics days to the latest issue from Dark Horse. I've been reading it for decades, and it's still one of my favorites.
Four hours total work, Microns and brush on sketchbook paper, Photoshop colors. Check out the inks -> [link] I know Stan goes with the three-finger hand, but I can't do it... I used to do it for years when I was cartooning for the kids, but nowadays I just feel like I've missed drawing the pinky whenever I try, with rare exception. Hands are useful for expression, so why trim them up? Usagi Yojimbo is © Stan Sakai, all rights are his. Respect that man! Very nice motion capture and grace. Although I've only seen only a few of the TMNT crossovers, the sword is the main attraction   I can't say I've got the same dedication to thecomic as you, but I've read some of them and absolutely loved it. (It actually started from seeing him on the ninja turtles TV show, me being the age to have watched it as a kid
 ) But I have to say this is a damned awesome picture. Makes me want to go finish this little sketch I did of him recently. For some reason I hit trouble drawing the left hand and legs/pants and just stopped.  -- Checkit out... #Hell ~HellChat=Mozilla   the motion in that blood ie really nice..
