For the MESS Studio competition over at HOON's homesite: [link]
Check out the pencils over here: [link]
And if you want to take a whack at coloring these yourself, a decently-sized version is available here: [link]
I'm not a great colorist, I think that goes without saying. But then again, this is about 2 hours of coloring... so I can't swear that I put in everything I could. It's really more of a color comp, but that's all I managed to find time for.
This guy has no hands or feet, but is wrapped into a bionic limb system. His legs are based on these real-world spring-boots I've seen footage and still of. You can really bounce around on those things, and so I imaging this guy leaps and somersaults and cartwheels around while he fights.
-EDIT-
Well, there's a twist... I actually won the competition. Color me shocked, 'cause I really didn't expect that.
-EDIT II-
Found a site for the actual stilts that his legs are based on: [link]
In addition, I notice that a lot of stiltwalking performers at theme parks wear these things now, as well. I suspect they must be more comfortable than the old construction stilts.
